Today I had my last group meeting as a student and last night we had our last party together, as the MIC students in Leeds. Food, drinks, music and all British theme. We had it all!

And once again, I felt like I was split in two…

How do I choose what to feel when things come to an end?

Countless sleepless night, hours in the library, classes, client meetings, briefings, assignments and reports. These have been the centre of our lives for the last 8 months. We’ve wanted nothing more than to get them done as soon & as good as possible. Get everything done!

And we did. And now it is.

And now you know how to pack your life in 23 kg, how to find cheep furniture and the coolest local pub anywhere you go. You’ve learned how to say “cheers” and “thank you” in at least 5 languages and can easily mimic foreign accents (especially French ones, right?). You’ve made new friends and have vacation destinations set for at least the next five years.

I’ve learned more about myself than ever before. I’ve learned to listen to others and make the most of now. I’ve learned to be patient because life gives you that one chance when you least expect it. And now I feel like I can do anything I set my mind to!

But, the one thing I still need to learn is also the hardest one…

How do I say “Good Bye!”?

I don’t! I say “Cheers!” instead and smile thinking of all the memories I’ve built…

  1. A bit sad and … a small bitter taste … at least that’s what I felt after (and while) reading …
